Need to get analog composite to SDI without it looking like Fred Flinstone??? Need to embed audio quickly, easily, with great quality, and without spending a fortune??? Need to frame sync??? Need to be able to adjust the signal BEFORE something compresses the crap out of your signal??? YES???
What is this stuff???
You are looking at the remote for the Snell & Wilcox CPP Profix system. The system includes one remote that can control as many as 255 of the CPP200 frames (see picture below). The remote is 1 RU high and can mount up to 1,000' away from the frames. The CPP200 frame is 3RU high and connects to the remote by "daisy chain" connections with regular video coax. The remote has one connection... a BNC. The CPP200 frame has 3 circuit cards inside (see pic) and input and outputs on the back (see pics).
What does it do???
The CPP200 is an encoder which can convert composite analog video to Component Serial Digital Video (SDI). It's ultra clean output, without artifacts, without noise in the blacks, and no motion sluring are just a few of the the qualities you will notice with this amazing box. In short, it makes the best SDI from composite analog we have yet seen. The CPP200 is a frame synchronizer with complete proc amp controls.
The CPP200 is a digital frame sync for either composite analog or SDI signals with dual inputs for each format.
The CPP200 is an audio embedder capable of taking 4 analog audio signals and "embedding" them into the SDI signal stream, with control of embed channel, gain, and limiting. Closed captions and 4:3 or 16:9 formats are supported.
The CPP200 is a "superior" pre-processing filtering device. As nearly all signals are compressed today, whether for transmission or recording, the ability to process and filter the signal becomes a great advantage. Typical uses include: Pre-processing a truck signal to optimize the quality for the 9mhz "slice" the satellite truck is using. By monitoring the "downlink" signal one can adjust the "uplink" signal to obtain outstanding quality. - Or by monitoring the incoming signal, a station's remote vehicle can optimize the quality of the "live shot" coming in. - Or by monitoring the playback results, the CPP200 can be adjusted to maximize the signal for recording on different video recording formats (DVCam/DVCPro25 & 50/etc). We know of NO OTHER PROCESSOR with this capability.
The CPP200 can also be controlled locally by switches and a small display built into the front of the circuit cards.
ALL of these features require little or no user setup... it even senses which input is live on power up. The unit is "plug and play" for basic encoding and frame sync! Yet if a user desires, through the remote (or inside panel) one can access the highly powerful features of this amazing box!!!
So what's the price???
New the CPP200 was over $12K each and the remote was $3500 each. We have 20+ CPP200's and 4 remotes in stock. For a limited time...
Buy (6) CPP200's and (1) remote for $1500!!!

Call now, when they're gone, they're gone!!!
